  • Dami's Famous has been a flavorful presence since its inception in 2015, with the launch of our very first creation: Dami's Famous Original BBQ Sauce. Our story began with owner Damien Pierre, a young entrepreneur whose formative years were spent alongside his Mom at farmer's markets in the charming South West region of Florida. As an adolescent, he visited his Aunt and uncle-in-law at their farm in Deltona, Florida, during Summer vacations. He credits going with his Aunt, an RN by trade and a multifaceted creative, to grocery stores to sell their eggs and speak to managers as an interest in creating a food CPG product line. He was introduced to farm-to-table during these Summers spent in rural Deltona, Florida. This caught his interest in the production process of food. He began baking and cooking at nine, carrying on the family tradition. His first baked good was apple cobbler. His first cooked meal was BBQ-baked turkey meatballs. During family BBQs, Damien would always doctor up the store-bought BBQ sauces, starting at age eleven, adding his blend of spices, honey, mustard, and much more to enhance the flavor of the sauce and "Make It Juicy." Damien says," The store-bought BBQ sauces were either too sweet, thin in texture, or lacked flavor." These early experiences naturally ignited a journey to bring our renowned Dami's Famous BBQ sauce, delectable chili, and cornbread to the public, rooted in our family values and traditions of home-cooked prepared meals.

  • From Farmer's Market Favorite to Nationwide Shelves: The Rise of Dami's Famous BBQ Sauce

    In April of 2016, owner Damien Pierre propelled the company forward as a weekly vendor at the Motor Ave farmer's market within the Palms community of Los Angeles, California. Our signature Turkey chili, irresistibly flavorful cornbread, and the one-of-a-kind Dami's Famous Original BBQ Sauce quickly became sought-after favorites. This positive response spurred us to enter retail stores in 2017, starting with Vincente Foods in Brentwood, California. Another significant milestone was achieved in 2019 when we partnered with Oil and Vinegar, expanding our retail presence across various locations throughout the United States.

  • Overcoming Setbacks: How Quality Challenges Fueled Our Commitment to Excellence

    Amidst our excitement, we received news that other retail outlets under the Oil and Vinegar umbrella were eager to stock our products nationally and internationally. With this promising opportunity, we fervently increased our production efforts with our manufacturers. However, a change in ownership the year prior introduced unexpected challenges. The initial batches of our product fell short of meeting our high standards for quality, taste, and texture. Despite these setbacks and financial strains, we navigated the hurdles as a united team, demonstrating our resilience and unwavering commitment to excellence.

  • Embracing Change: Reinventing Our Brand Amidst the Challenges of the Covid-19 Pandemic

    The intricacies of the Covid-19 pandemic presented us with further tests. Decreased profitability from farmer's markets and limitations on catering led us to pivot our direction. Embracing our identity as a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company, we bid farewell to the farmer's markets after five years of participation. In this transformative period, Damien Pierre took the reins, delving into public relations, refining business strategies, and embarking on a journey of reinvention. “Guided by the four 'R's: rethink, reshape, restructure, and rebrand, we embrace change with open arms”.-Damien Pierre.

    The steadfast support from the diverse communities of Los Angeles County has been an unwavering driving force for us over the years. As we embark on this new chapter, we eagerly anticipate forging deeper connections with our loyal patrons and new customers. Our journey continues with renewed purpose as we unveil our latest venture: DAMI'S Famous Spicy BBQ Sauce, a cookbook entitled 10 Dami's Famous BBQ Sauce recipes centered around Dami's Famous Original and Spicy BBQ Sauces.Â
